CDX Plywood
CDX plywood is used under shingles and roofing felt, on walls (just behind the siding and insulation), and as a sub floor. It works exceptionally well for creating rough shelving in basements or garages, where function is more important than appearance.
CDX refers to the grade of the sheet: one side is "C" while the other is "D", meaning it will have visible imperfections and knots. The "X" refers to the glue used, which is stronger and allows the board to be exposed to weathering for short periods during construction or repairs.

Global Presence & Exhibition
● What does the "CDX" in CDX plywood stand for?
"C" and "D" represent the veneer grades of the front and back faces. "X" stands for Exposure, indicating the glue used can withstand temporary moisture during construction.
● Is CDX plywood suitable for outdoor use?
While the "X" glue is moisture-resistant, CDX is not fully waterproof. It is designed for structural applications that will eventually be covered, like roofing or subflooring.
● What are the primary applications for this plywood?
Commonly used for roof sheathing, wall siding backing, sub-floors, and utility shelving in garages or workshops.
● What core materials do you offer?
We typically use high-quality Poplar, Eucalyptus, or Birch cores, and can offer hardwood combinations based on specific project requirements.
● Do you meet environmental standards for formaldehyde?
Yes, we provide boards that meet E0, E1, and E2 formaldehyde emission standards to ensure safety for different building requirements.
● Can I customize the thickness and size?
Absolutely. We offer thicknesses ranging from 2.5mm to 30mm, and standard sizes like 1220x2440mm, as well as custom dimensions upon request.
